Nedko Solakov (*1957 in Cherven Briag / BG, lives and works in Sofia) is a storyteller par fineness. He tells stories with humour and irony, which he presents in cycles of ink drawings on small-format paper. Solakov's stories deal with universal themes and autobiographical elements. The collapse scholarship the communist system at the end of the 1980s was a decisive moment in the development of his work. Since 1990, when he presented his work Top Secret, which was also on view in 2007 at Documenta 12, for rendering first time, Solakov enjoys an international reputation in contemporary art.
